Maori Gods

                                Maori Gods
Hey bloggers, At school we have been working and learning about the different kind of Maori gods. The different types of gods are Tangoroa god of the sea, Tawhirimatea god of the wind and storms, Tu god of war, haumia guardian spirit of wild food, Rongo god of peace, papatuanuku mother earth and sky father Ranginui.I chose tangoroa god of sea and we got to make our own Maori god using pastel and designs. We got to practice and see which colors and patterns suit it, Then draw the good copy of the Maori god on a goo white peace of paper. After we had to color in the Maori god so no white gaps where in. After we had to vivid the outline of the Maori god then add little details and patterns to it. I drew fishes and sea animals on mine and added a lot of details
. Here is a picture of my Maori god hope you like it. Well thats it for today bloggers hoped you like my Maori god and blog you later!

Cross Country

                                Cross Country

Hey bloggers, On Wednesday the 11th our school had Cross Country. We had 6 activities cheering, resting, skipping, soccer goals, obstacle course and finally we had to run. We were all in year groups when the year sixes were split up. In each rotation if we achieved it we could get a letter wrote on our hand. There were yummy delicious sausages as well as cake stalls and the bake sale. On the huge run we had to run around the field through the bush and on the drive way.

On the obstacle course we had to go through the play ground shoot a goal then jump over cones and then through strings climbing the wall then run back. Then we had to kick at least 12 goals then move on to skipping. After that we could get an ice block and cake and have free time. Next we were warming up and cheering for the people running past us.

Then I had to run two laps and touch the finish line. We all had so much fun and were so tired from the run.
We had muddy feet and a sweaty head. I was so proud and had so much fun leading and joining in.
Well thats it for today bloggers, Blog you later!

Squash

                                                                  SQUASH!
Morning bloggers, On Wednesdays we go as classes to the hall to practice and play squash. We have a squash court, racket and a soft ball. We get into two pairs and hit the ball to each other on the squash court. The game squash is similar to tennis and badminton. In squash we practice hand coronation and keeping a eye on the ball. We also practice hitting the ball sideways and everywhere else. Our coach Jude is our coach who challenges the well players in our class a challenge to beat him.

I had fun at squash so did the hole class and teacher. I learnt to move and keep up with the ball at all times as well as keeping a close eye. Squash is a really good game to play! The squash coach had told us that a famous player who plays squash dives and jumps to hit the ball. He is the fifth amazing player at playing squash.

I hoped you enjoyed this blog bloggers, see you again and blog                                                 you later!!

Camp

                                                             CAMP !!!!!

Hey bloggers, today I am talking about what we did on our wonderful camp! We went on a ski camp to Mount Ruapehu.

We had to bring sensible gear to wear on the bus at Mount Ruapehu and the Crossing Backpackers.  We packed a lot of gear with us, We had to bring 1 big suit case and a backpack with a raincoat, water bottle and a big lunch for the day.

We all had a bedroom where girls were sleeping with another few girls and boys sleeping with another range of boys. The parents and staff members also had their own bedrooms. We had a number on our door so we could remember which rooms were ours.  The food at the Crossing backpacker was delicious and good. We had breakfast, lunch, dinner and desert! We also got to watch two movies and play ping pong, card games and board games too.

Then we got to go up to Mount Ruapehu where we chose to ski or snow board. We also got to go down hill, magic carpets, sledding, chairlifts, gondolas and more!

We went sledding on a steep place where there were big sleds, each one of us could sled down to a certain point and go up the magic carpet. For a lot of people including me, we touched snow for the first time.

We also had a lot of snow fights at Mount Ruapehu because there was a lot of snow. We also had went to Huka falls to see how beautiful it is and going to check out the different types of gardens in Hamilton.

I felt so happy at camp, it was a blast. My favourite part was skiing down Mount Ruapehu and going on the gondolas, chairlifts and having lessons. I think when the next couple go they will have a lot of fun and do a lot of thinking and challenges.

Well this was it for today bloggers, see you again and blog                                              ya later!
