special assembly

Hi bloggers,On Friday 15 of March everybody heard about the shooting in Christchurch. It was a very special day for our school on Monday the 18 of March as everybody knew about the shooting at Christchurch. It was very Important and depressing, so Our school was going to make some cards for the people that died and the people that were helping the people that needed help. We heard that there were 50 people that already had died and 35 In hospital trying to survive. Our school came together In the hall for a special assembly because so we could show our respect for the people that had lost their lives, As we were In there we were talking with our deputy principal and our school principal we were talking about what we were going to do outside. But before that we stood for a moment of silences for a minute remembering things and what we can do to make our world a better place. After the assembly everybody came outside looking at our new tree we were going to plant. Some of our students that we all different kinds of cultures came to put soil In the hole for the plant to go In, The tree was a Kowhai tree our logo to represent our school, Waikowhai Primary School. After everybody put soil in the hole some other people put the cards around the tree to give to the people that helped and that lost their loss. After We were holding hands to show friendship as we sang a song to show our respect for the people. After the assembly everybody lined up getting ready to go back to class safely with their teachers. I was starting a new goal, It was my goal is to stand up for myself when people are making racist statements' and make our world a better place
Have a good day bloggers and stay happy, And please remember

Cameron Pools
Talofa Lava bloggers and welcome to my blog. On Tuesdays and thursdays our class Hauraki go's to visit Cameron Pools by traveling by bus. Cameron pools is a place where you can practice swimming, it is at 53 Arundel St, Mount Roskill, Aukland 1440. You can practice swimming doing your lessons at the pool, or you can go in a hot relaxing pool cooling down. There is also a pool where kids can splash and playing all the time. We all have different groups and swimming instructors. I have been learning how to get in the pool safely and diving and kicking in the water. The instructors have been helping me as well as others how to swim properly so I can be safe when ever I am In the water. We have to go to swim because if you can't swim you might drown or sink and also die. Another reason you have to swim because it is part of the curriculum. I have learned different kinds of tricks In the water, thanks so much to the instructors. I am still learning who to swim but hopefully I will learn how to swim and be good at it. Have a nice day bloggers and If you can't swim go swim down at Cameron Pools and learn how to swim with the swimming instructors, and I will see you next time blogger, Good afternoon.
Cameron Pools is the best !

2019!
Happy new year bloggers, I hope you had a great, safe and happy holiday.
Welcome to my first 2019 post of the year.
It has been a fabulous start at school in the past 4 weeks. We have been splashing at Cameron Pools
on Tuesday and Thursdays,
singing assemblies with our spectacular deputy principal as well as meeting our
new classes and students this year.
We have also met new teachers and teacher aides as well as new students who have settled in.
We have learned to
show respect and being mindful of visitors
and staff. We have three classes which are the yellow space named Manukau with Mrs Jones,
and then the green class Waitemata with Miss Daly,
and then Miss McGrath has been standing in for Ms Sands, in the blue space Hauraki. We have
been writing about our '
getting to know you' so people can know what we like and do. I think 2019 is going to be the best.
